it was exactly what I was looking for to teach new radiology nurses the basics. well written

Too basic

Just get to the point and only give me what I need to know to get the job done. That is my approach and that is why I like this book. Of course it is not meant to be a detailed textbook that delves into theory or describes procedures in depth. The true value in this book is for those just starting out in a diagnostic imaging department and for those that work on other units. It gives a good basic understanding as to what goes on when we send our patients down to radiology. For those looking for an unabridged textbook, keep shopping. For those interested in a "reader's digest" on the subject, this is your book.

I wish I had this book 20 years ago when I first started working in the ER. So helpful in learning about radiology, understanding processes and interactions with the ER team. A great resource for new and experienced ER nurses! Thank you for unraveling the mystery behind the radiology department.

As a newer nurse working in Radiology, this book would have been essential to my journey and understanding of what a radiology nurse does and what can commonly be encountered. I supported all modalities except performing IR cases and let me tell you I would have paid for this book if I had to during my time. This is a must for any nurse new to radiology or even for those nurses who work with the radiology team and want an idea as to what radiology is all about. This book by all means is NOT a full orientation to each role in radiology, but a quick, concise overview!

I've been using Microsoft Word for many years, but thought there might be a few tips I could pick up from this reference guide. However, that is not the case. I'll be passing it on to a friend who is more advanced than I. It's not really fair to downgrade the product because I can't use it, but I'd also like to save someone from making the same mistake.This reference guide covers Using Styles, Restricting Formatting, Creating a Table of Contents, Creating an Index, Inserting Excel Spread Sheets, Outlining, etc.I like the concept, and I'm sure my friend will be happy with it.

Excel can be complicated but this two (2) "back and front page" laminated introduction offers over 42 simple to understand and use instructions for the Mac user from entering new data to entering formulae to formatting and shading. A superb introduction to financial records keeping and analysis.

I wanted something that would be a quick and easy to use Excel 2010. I didn't want to have to thumb through a manual looking for what I wanted to know. This chart may not tell you everything, but it will tell you enough without using Power Point's help menu or a manual.

As President of a computer club in a 55 and over community, I plan all and teach some of the computer class to our members. The members range in ability from the novice to a beta tester. I purchase a variety of these sheets for my use in teaching and to refresh my memory for those functions I have not used for some time. Since I am not the only instructor, they may be used by others. They are easy to handle and keep clean, do not tear, are easily stored, and can be copied if needed. This has been very helpful when working with Microsoft's Word 2010. Office 2010 is so different than the earlier versions and this little cheat sheet has been incredibly helpful with things that use to be so obvious. Nice information and the lamination means it will last for quite sometime to come.It beats dragging out the book and looking up the process you are trying to accomplish only to be run around in circles until you finally find the answer.Highly recommend to anyone having trouble with Microsoft's Word 2010.

I finally moved from Windows XP to Windows 7 and Office 10, but with great trepidation. Much in the interface for Excel has changed; it seemed confusing and a step backwards. However, The Quick Reference Guide has been a huge help in my transition.

Last week one of the computers in the office crashed. IT came in with a new computer with an upgrade to MS Office 2010 installed - sending the individual back to Square 1. We had all been working in Office 2003 and were quite adept at using the menus. This worker now has to learn to work with the ribbon. Soon all the other computers will be upgraded. In an effort to prepare myself and save constant searching for the new location of commands, I purchased several of these cheatsheets. I'm hoping they will shorten the length of time it takes for me to get used to the new location of previously-used menu commands.

There's a lot of info packed onto a tiny sheet here. I learned a few new things and, I think once I get used to looking at it for information when I need it, it may be useful. I think these references are great for beginning users of a program, but I assume once I know it pretty well, these shortcuts, etc., will become second nature, and I won't need the reference so much. I use OneNote pretty often, in work and at home, and would really like to get better and better at it, so I'm finding this to be quite helpful!

My son started reading this with me around 18mo (now 22mo). We tried a couple other potty books, but this one seemed to resonate with him. He really pays attention and associates his potty with the book and vice versa. We aren't ready to officially start training yet, but I think this did the job of getting his interest (my current goal)! We will keep using it. Also, I felt this book actually explained the process of how to go potty, which not all books do. ----- The book itself is bright, an easy-to-carry size, and durable.

Finally this book is water resistant! Perfect for being able to use in the bathroom (where the child needs to see the pictures of how to potty). I'm on my fourth child and I'm glad they finally made this book water resistant so its easy to clean and wipe down to keep in the bathroom.

The book does entice him to sit on the potty and read ("I want to read with Joshua") but some of the wording is odd, so I had to change it up. We don't say "making wee-wee and poo-poo." Call it what it is. Pee and pop. Also, the pics of the potty in the illustration looks more like a flowerpot than an actual potty. This is confusing to toddlers. This is it. This is the book. This is the magic. I don't know what else to say besides BUY. THIS. BOOK. My friend randomly found a very torn copy in a pile of used books and after months of reading potty books and trying, we read our son this and he was hooked, making us read it to him three times a night at bed time. Within a WEEK of starting this book, he just up and potty trained himself. Luckily we already had the undies ready to go! The book uses a plain white jug, so we used a plain white potty seat from Summer Infant, to match as closely as possible. We love this book so much that I have shared the title with my special ed friends and even purchased a copy on here and shipped it to our little toddler cousin in CT who needed a little push. Also comes in a girl version! Uses the terms "wee wee" and "poo poo" and DOES show cartoon anatomy.

I bought this cuz I'm having trouble figuring out how to get my 2 yr old son to potty. I bought a cars potty that makes sounds & tried everything. No results. Read this book one day then again on day 2 and sat him on his potty and went over book again then played the video. Video is only about 10 mins long, we played 2 times. At the end of 2nd viewing, my son peed in his potty!! I told him I'm telling Joshua what a big boy he is & maybe Joshua will visit (I've ordered the doll & matching potty with cd), he can't wait to see if Joshua comes!! So yes I'm blowing my $$, but will save tons on diapers!!! Day 2 and he's using potty. So now we will try reading My Big Boy Undies. I'm so proud!!! I'm gonna get for girls for my nieces!!

This book is perhaps a bit graphic to the uninitiated, but then again, so is potty training, especially with inquisitive toddlers. I purchased this to read to my son when he sat on the potty for longer periods of time when he was first potty training, and he loved it. He helped read some of the funny parts--"Was it a hat? No, it wasn't a hat. Was it a milk bowl for the cat? No, it wasn't a milk bowl for the cat. . .It was a potty!" and he was fascinated by the straightforward explanations. I was blessed by a child that potty trained early, but this book certainly helped him understand some of the tougher questions of potty training. Cute illustrations, pleasant storyline, all around helpful. I even purchased an additional one for a friend's son who was not showing any interest in potty training, and he loved it too.One addition: We personally choose to say "pee" and "poop" at our house, rather than the other descriptors like "pee-pee", etc. used by this book. In other reviews people seem to really have a gripe with having to change the wording, but I own several other potty training books and even an Elmo DVD, and none of those use "our" wording for all parts and processes, either. I like to personalize books for my son, and, as in this one, I changed not only the "pee"-type words, but also changed the little boy Joshua's name to my son's name instead. It's not a big deal, that's just how I choose to read books. Also, the tone of this book is pretty tongue-in-cheek funny for the adults reading it, or at the least to me. I got pretty sick of reading the other potty training books we owned, but this one was always welcome.

Our almost 3 year old loved this book. I don't know if there was a direct connection.... but he is now toilet trained. Yeeeeaaa!And for extra fun, try reading this book to your kid while visitors are in the house. They will feel sooooo uncomfortable.

Things I love about Once Upon a Potty:It's a very sweet and simple story, and when it comes to teaching toddlers, it's important to keep things clear and simple. Little kids don't get metaphor.It doesn't shy away from being anatomically descriptive, but in a way that little kids really can understand and relate to.It actually shows the poop and pee...which may sound gross to more squeamish adults, but for a little kid who's trying to learn, it's great to have a visual for what they're actually aiming for (no pun intended).The author openly states in a note to parents that she encourages them to change the descriptive words in the book to whatever they use in their own family. Which I usually do anyway, but it's nice to see.The only thing I DON'T like about this book:It shows Joshua picking up his potty and bringing it to his mother. My son now tries this if he pees when I'm not in the room...it's a disaster every time, lol. So it might be helpful to explain, when reading this book, that the child should not try and move his own potty (especially today's potties which tend to have more parts than the chamber pot in the book).Otherwise, it's just such a great book!

After searching for a sight singing book I decided to use this one. It begins easy and gradually becomes more difficult. I am using it with my high school choir but it could be used in the middle grades if you are serious enough about wanting the singers to sight read. I had no serious "I hate this" from any of them...although it's not their favorite part of choir. I use it as part of my warm ups. There is also a follow up book to this series and a teachers' guide.

A simple book to get my private piano students reading vocally. Being reproducible is huge for us. Thanks.

I recommend this book to accompany the "Sing at First Sight" text book. It helps you to stay focused on each lesson, and it includes tests for each unit, plus a CD with all the songs!! Very helpful!!

Absolutely excellent. I'm using it with my middle school students and they're learning a lot. They're even -gasp- enjoying it! It's very sequential and begins with rhythm, then applies the rhythm to solfege examples. Kudos to Andy Beck!
